I just looked on Amazon because sometimes you can "look inside" the book (see at least the table of contents). Too bad this book doesn't have that feature implemented.

The author may want to visit http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/catalog-guide/guide/-/506469/103-3985716-7707841

I don't have a "best practices" chapter, but do indeed cover best practices -- both in terms of Java syntax and in terms of overall software engineering principles -- throughout the book.

Best regards,

Jacquie
