What is the speiality of a bean?what is the diff. between a bean & a simple java class? why is it called bean

Java Beans Tutorial

A Java bean is not a lot different from any other Java class. Java beans were originally invented as reusable user interface components, but they are often used for other things too.

Essentially a Java bean is just a Java class with some member variables and getter and setter methods for those member variables.
