I need a framework to manipulate images under java applaction. I see a JAI framework and i ask if this framework is good or exist another best than jai.

What kind of image manipulation do you need to do? Please tell us more specifically what you want, that will make it easier to recommend specific libraries.

Rotate a image, expand and reduce, contrast manipulation, brightness, etc ...

It is also important what kind of images. JAI is a good library at least I have used it some times with only minor problems. I have used it on tiff files and it works just fine for the kind of work you need to do.

JAI is fine. Not sure what else there is out there, but AWT and Swing may very well do everything you need depending on the image type.
