In my program there's an option to check if there's a new version available and this new Jar-file is downloaded to a temporary directory. If I have a file Install.jar which simply replaces the old program Jar with the new version, how can I start this Install.jar within the program Jar so that the program Jar can be deleted?

I just noticed that I can replace the program Jar while it's running. My guess is that the contents of the Jar are extracted to some other place and is therefore no longer needed, but can someone confirm that the program Jar won't be accessed again by the Java Virtual Machine? This could lead to odd behaviour.
