What did you find when you googled for it?

As a side note, you may have missed that JavaRanch has a policy on display names, and yours does not comply with it - please adjust it accordingly, which you can do right here. Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter.

And don't change your name to "JD Edwards", it won't do either

HI suseela,

JD Edwards in principal has nothing to do with Java, but in summary :

- It was one of the leading ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions. With many business modules like Financial, Procurement, Inventory, Property Management, Job Costing and many more modules.

- It is written in C++ but it is so robust that it comes with it's own engine where a JDE consultant can write new JDE modules using their proprietry coding language (NER).

- Its only relation to java is that they have a web interface that is based on java technology and that it has an interoperability interface for many languages (c++, .Net, VB and Java).

- There are many JCA adaptors written for the various JDE versions.
- Last but not least.. JDE was acquired by PeopleSoft and later PeopleSoft was acquired by Oracle.

Hope that answers you.
