Hi There,

I have developed an interest in programming specifically JAVA,
Any recommendations on what i should start with. I've also
heard about J2EE....is there a prerequisite for this one if
i want to do it first?

Most people are recommending SUN.com what do u think?

Thanks

Hi,

Welcome to JavaRanch!

Please don't post the same question to multiple forums here at the Ranch. Instead, Carefully Choose One Forum. Thanks.

You have to know Java (it's not JAVA, it's Java) before you can learn J2EE.

Sun does have a tutorial on their web site here. It has a lot of useful information but probably isn't the best way to get started. Have a look at our Bunkhouse for a list of beginner's Java books, with detailed reviews, and choose one that sounds good for you!
