hi im kinda new at java and i wanted to know how to make a button that saves the infromation in a neaby textbox into a specific folder name that you imput in another textbox above it.

this is so my website wich i need to make a program that will archive info about our users when they have made achievements(such as earning a medal or gaining or losing points)

this is sorta gonna be a yin and yang program so i also need to make it display info from a file whose name is typed in the text box.

i dont mean to ask so much i just need help and even small amounts will help alot.

plus im trying to meet a deadline with our sponsers so we can show our organization.

also if your older than 18 my boss can pay you to help if you wish so

thank you!

p.s I dont know what forum to put this in so i put it here.. moderators can move it if they like.

The advanced Java forum isn't quite right, so I've moved this to the intermediate forum for you.

It all depends on what you mean by 'im kinda new at java'. Have you written any Java programs ? If you're comfortable with the basics of Java, then you need to look at Swing (Java GUI API).
The best place to start is the Java tutorials. There's stuff for complete beginners there and there is also a Swing tutorial.

So you mention your website. Let's start there. Tell us what technologies you're already using. JSPs? Servlets? Applets? A database? None of the above?
