Hi all.
This is my first post with my new identity, which is the real one.
My former name here was Bill Bailey
As I guess nobody cares, I think the Meaningless Drivel is the good place for this post
I am a rancher for quite a long now, but my job (my boss ?) did not allow me to be involved with a website full of mooses and Graemlins
Now that I'm moving to another company, I hope they will understand JavaRanch is not a game but a great place to work and collect useful information.
Long life to javaranch

I have told you 1000 times, dont use your mind, but you wont stop thinking. You have already over used it
Please no offence. I say this to all my friends.
Actual wording what I tell them is that "You have already very less mind"
Dimag Par Jor Mat Do. Dimag Pahle Se Hee Kam Hai

Every time I saw "Bill Bailey" here I wondered "T.S. Eliot fan?"
So now I'll ask -- "T.S. Eliot fan?"

Just send an email to each Rancher telling she/he has won the latest Java book available and you need some delivery information to send the book.
Then every Rancher will send you her/his real name and shipping address.
my 2 cents.

We have a euphemism in America, coming out of the closet. This is when a person publicly declares that they are a homosexual.
While changing your identity at the JR is not quite of the same magnitude, both actions involve the loss of a hidden identity. Did coming out of the closet, so to speak, give you a liberated feeling?

Not really Michael. I'm more a C.Beaudelaire fan due to my native mother tongue. But maybe one day I'll be able to read and appreciate TS Eliot.

Liberated ? Well, no, on the contrary. I hope JRanchers will keep answering my questions now that my name is not pronounceable anymore. Do not hesitate to call me JLM .

Well, I don't consider it unpronounceable, but if you heard me say it you might well disagree. In fact I saw your post right after reading the acronym thread, so abbreviating it seemed natural. Unfortunately (or maybe not), JLM doesn't appear in the acronym finder. For what it's worth, neither does JRY (James Robert Yingst). Oh well, I guess we'll have to do without any personal acronyms...

As for JRY. Well, that is one of a kind.

Thanks for the hints Leslie, but actually, JLM stands for Java Licence Manager
Sounds like it will give me some credibility here, no ?

Well, at that other site you can enter any acronym into their database.
On second thought, I think that this issue does not belong in MD. Is your name meaningless to you? (It was until you came out of the closet ) Maybe the place for this would be Here.

Thanks, Leslie. I guess I was using an inferiour acrunym finder.
As for JRY. Well, that is one of a kind.
I try.
Although JIM does have several options. Most intriguingly, "JESS Intelligence Model".

So, my question is, if we win the Jolt award will that mean people will take us seriously?
