1. MY PC uses DSL to connect to internet. If I use "URLConnection" to connect to a web site, how does the server of that site interpret the IP address of my PC (where the request is from) ?

2. Generally speaking, when a PC uses DSL, is its IP address dynamically assigned ?

Your ISP must have assigned an IP address to your DSL router, which is the one that is ultimately used in the Internet.

FY,

In the future, please don't crosspost. Having multiple threads on the same subject is a waste of everyone's time.

Thanks.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
