POI row.getPhyicalNumberOfCells?

Hi all,

I am using HSSF and I am calling the row.getPhyicalNumberOfCells() method. Does this only return the number of non empty cells in the row? Thats what is seems to be doing for me? I need to know the total number of cells for the row. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

AMD

Ok I am stupid that is how it is suspose to work, but is there a way to get what I want, the max number of cells in a row?

Thanks,

AMD

I thought it was fixed at 256.

I have 251, is 256 stable? Also Ulf do you know how to getDates out. I saw there is a getDate, but what if you don't know the field you are getting is a date or not?

Thanks,

Check out the HSSFDateUtil.isCellDateFormatted(HSSFCell cell) method.
