As new versions of java are release some of the old methods are deprecated.
Is there any link which tell me the list of methods that can be used instead of deprecated methods

The Javadocs for the deprecated method itself will generally tell you what to use instead.

You can refer to the following URL to get the list of deprecated APIs

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/deprecated-list.html

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
