This abnormal behavoir is generally seen in frustrated guys who generally day dream about women all the time. This behavior is also a characteristic of those who can't program properly but instead lie in the resume that they are the best programmers.Ofcourse this is my personal observation, may not be applicable to everyone.
Don't know much about older women with similar feelings.

From a strictly Sex point of view it makes alot of sense. Since males reach their sexual peak at about 17 and then its all down hill, and females don't reach their peak until about 35 - you can see why a 17 year old might appeal to a 35 year old woman.
Personally of course I have never felt attracted to anyone other than my husband (And if you beleive that . . . .)

Men peak when they're single. Then they get married and it's all downhill from there.

Well, mentally they stay there for the rest of their lives. I was referring to performance and stamina . Actually these are quite well published statistics - however I think that I will resist the urge to do a google search on the topic from work .

That article more or less explains the attraction of younger men towards older women and vice-versa. Some younger men with a mature outlook towards life tend to prefer an older woman as the maturity compatibility is much higher as compared to younger women. Like the old saying goes "A dying candle burns brightly." an older woman is much more accepting, reciprocating and understanding to a younger man's needs. She knows the right words to say, right buttons to press and the right moves in bed. While the older woman gets a man she can teach things about life, who can satisfy her physically and mentally by holding long conversations. So it works both ways a la "U scratch my back, I scratch ur back."
Please note that the above may not necessarily be applicable to one and all. This is just one dimension of the whole "younger man - older woman" relationship.
Feedback welcome.....

I was thinking what are the greatest couples in history?
I am not sure, but I guess Napoleon Bonaparte and Josephine Beauharnais will certainly be one of them.

It's actually rather fashionable for women to go for a younger man these days -- JLo, and of course for a long time, Susan Sarandon. A friend of mine is 44 and her husband's 37.
If you're a younger guy you actually get Points for being the Younger Muffin. Kind of glamorous from the woman's point of view. You get to be the trophy date.
Being up for dating older women is only going to widen your dating pool, and that's not a bad thing.
OK, I happen to have a book on this too. ;>

Just all the techniques for meeting guys that I've used effectively and that work for men too, stuff that my male friends have used effectively, and additional easy stuff on how to meet some single women when it's just guys guys guys all day long. I also threw in the surprisingly effective Sociology Experiment that my boyfriend's airplane mechanic told us.
I'll get my butt over to Blatant Advertising where it belongs, now. ;>

Just remember guys...it's quality not quantity! Age is ONLY a number. Jerks (male and female) come in all ages. Whenever a person no longer feels like "playing" the game of life (and I don't mean the board game) but "living" the game of life then they become attractive.
Oh, I could go on, but I'll stop.

As long as the people involved find themselves compatible, age shouldnt be that big a factor. Sure, sacrifices have to be made in a "older woman-younger man" relationships but to some people some sacrifices are worth it.

Don,
To the best of my knowledge Laura would be a feminine name thus the referral to Laura in the feminine sense (forgive my ignorance if my deduction is wrong). I think the name is Danish, but of course only Laura can answer that.

There is an issue that has bothered me for a long time. It is very relevant to this thread so I don't feel like I am thread robbing. It is not very nice, that is the issue. It is MD. Turn back now if you are morally pure.

We have this phrase here in the heartland. I am not much of a world traveler so I don't know if people overseas have it too. I learned it as a very young child. The phrase is mother fucker.
I've always wondered what it meant. I wonder who first said it too. In the old days family relationships were so much more prevelant. So was it wife to husband, son to milkman, or husband to wife?
I do not even have the slightest clue as to what book to buy.

Ahem. I'm assuming you're being honestly questioning instead of being disingenous. It refers to incest, Rufus. As to what book you should read, well, the oldest reference to this is probably in the Bible, Leviticus 18:7.
"The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness."

*accademic tone* One interesting theory on its origin is listed on this page:
http://uk.geocities.com/agirlcalledben/words.html
Also the curse's general meaning exists in lots of languages in some form or another according to this page:
http://www.duke.edu/~jac3/origin/swearwords.html
I guess any profanity including the word 'mother' is designed to add a little extra hurt or outrage.
The funniest thing I read on that page is allegedly a Hindi curse - "teri gaand mein haathi ka lund" - look it up. I almost sprayed coffee out of my nose ...

There was a guy, who was in love with 3 women at same time and all were of different age group.
He was not able to decide whom to marry.
So he decided to test all women.
He gave $1000 to each and said he will again meet after 1 month.
After one month, one women(age group 18-25) gave him lot of gifts. She spent all the money to buy gift for him.
Second one (AG- 25-35) bought one beautiful neckless for herself and said thanks to him.
Third one(AG- 35-45) invested that money and share market and made it 10000$. She returned him his 1000$ and bought a house for herself.
Now whom did he marry ??
