I was looking at a apache commons source file and it has version ID in the class's documentation comment:

I use eclipse. How can I have the program generate the version ID like that?

Thanks.

I think its a cvs header not something related with eclipse. Take a look to "cvs version control" in google.

Hi,
If you are asking about the comments in the class file

ex:
/**
* @author ${user}
*
* ${tags}
*/

These comments we can set in eclipse at
Windows->Preferences->java->code Style->code Templetes

Thanks all.

It does look like the version thing is generated by program like Subversion.

Without subversion. I guess we'll have to modify the @version manually.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
