I have a requirement that I need to append rows, cells and data in the cells to an already existing excel sheet. How could this be done. Pls suggest me with code snippets asap. Thanks in advance.

The Jakarta POI library can read and write XLS files. Its documentation contains plenty of examples.

Hyperlinks are formulas with the syntax:

=HYPERLINK( "target", "label")

You can even link to particular cells in a workbook:

=HYPERLINK( "#'My sheet'!A1", "label")

You may have to use semi-colons between parameters instead of commas, depending on your local settings.
