Hello all, I am trying to get the J2EE server running and running into a few problems

I have installed the SUN-JDK and SUN-JRE(1.5.0.11) and the J2EE platform(1.3.1-r3)

my Environment variables are as follows

PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.1.1:/opt/sun-jdk-1.5.0.11/bin:/opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.11/bin:/mirror/oracle/product/10.2.0.1/bin:/opt/sun-j2ee-1.3.1/bin
CLASSPATH=.:/mirror/oracle/product/10.2.0.1/jdbc/lib/classes12.zip:/opt/sun-j2ee-1.3.1/lib/j2ee.jar:/opt/sun-j2ee-1.3.1/lib/locale
J2EE_HOME=/opt/sun-j2ee-1.3.1
JAVA_HOME=/etc/java-config-2/current-system-vm

when I try and start the j2ee server(j2ee -verbose) I get the following exception

J2EE server listen port: 1050
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/corba/se/internal/util/IdentityHashtable
at com.sun.corba.ee.internal.javax.rmi.CORBA.Util.<clinit>(Util.java:87)
at com.sun.corba.ee.internal.POA.POAImpl.activate(POAImpl.java:935)
at com.sun.corba.ee.internal.POA.POAImpl.activate_object(POAImpl.java:895)
at com.sun.corba.ee.internal.CosNaming.TransientNameService.initialize(TransientNameService.java:117)
at com.sun.corba.ee.internal.CosNaming.TransientNameService.<init>(TransientNameService.java:70)
at com.sun.enterprise.iiop.POAProtocolMgr.initializeNaming(POAProtocolMgr.java:103)
at com.sun.enterprise.server.J2EEServer.run(J2EEServer.java:226)
at com.sun.enterprise.server.J2EEServer.main(J2EEServer.java:972)

Has any run into this problem, or managed to get this working?

Thanks

Not to state the obvious, but something is looking for com/sun/corba/se/internal/util/IdentityHashtable, and it is not there. Beyond that, I can't be very helpful. Is this happening during configuration, installation, or when trying to run a web application?

This occurs when I try and start the j2ee server.

I think you are using J2EE 1.3 RI , which might not work properly with Java 5 .. try upgrading JEE or get the old Java.

Let me know if that solves the problem.

Let's not post your email address. First of all, if a spammer finds it you're going to regret it. Secondly, UseTheForumNotEmail.

Very Urgent

Please EaseUp.

Is there a reason why you are using a relatively old J2EE version (1.3.1)?

If you are not tied to this old version, try something newer, such as Java EE 6 or Java EE 5. You can download those here.
