Just a question of curiosity. Is the deep south in America still segregated? The farthest I have been down south is Virginia.

No. Segregation has been illegal since the late 1950's.

Yep.. but I remember a news clip on CNN last year where they announced Georgia finally desegregated its last segregated school in 2002.
