I never really had a good appreciation for the benefit of using an interface. It seems to me that since I have to provide the code to satisfy an interface's
requirements that I'm doing the hard part! So why even bother invoking an interface - I just may as well write my code and be done with it.

I am well aware that an interface is a huge part of the JAVA language and that I'm missing a very crucial point, so please clarify since I've never understood the rationale nor read the motivation behind it.
