Hello Herb,

As you have told in the preface that the books deals with JDK6, how good the features of Java SE 6 are covered here? Will it be a full fledged reference book for Java 6?

Thank you.

Hi Raghavan,

Cook books are not supposed to be reference books ..
I downloaded the sample chapter, and it says that the book covers Java SE 6..

Hi Raghavan,

My cookbook is a collection of practical Java prograqmming techiques. A basic, working knowledge of Java is required to use the cookbook.

For a complete reference to Java 6, I recommend my book "Java: The Complete Reference, 7th Edition"

To learn the basics of Java, I recommend my book "Java: A Beginner's Guide, 4th Edition"

For my latest books on Java, including my <b>Java Programming Cookbook</b>, see<br /> <br /><a href="http://www.HerbSchildt.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">HerbSchildt.com</a>
