I am specifically looking into this function: XMLUtil.createDocument. It is being used in the following manner:
this.getVariableSet().setClaim(XMLUtil.createDocument(claim.getBytes()).getDocument());
claim is a string variable that i read from an array but I do not understand what the above is doing. A search on the net just brings me to examples but no explanation. Thanks in advance for your help.

Please do not post the same question in multiple forums - carefully choose one forum.

Ok. I did post in the beginner forum and was told the question was not to beginner-y so I posted the question on this forum. Should I have deleted the one on the beginner forum?

The moderator in the beginner forum moved your post there to the XML forum.
