doubt about lib directory

if the jar file is present in webcontainer to run some application and that application also contains the same jar file as that of container to run application then container first looks wehter in its own lib (or) application's lib

It depends on your application server. And for some app servers, it further depends on the classloader settings configured upon deployment.
