And Google has become its own meme, the stuff of New Yorker cartoons and a brand, like Kleenex and Band-Aid, that is in danger of becoming a part of the English language. You don't search for something on the Web anymore. You Google it.

What strikes me is that Google is (I'm probably wrong) just a network of 100 linux PC's running a fairly clever search algorithm, connected to the internet with plenty of bandwidth.
Now ok, "if it were so easy why isn't everybody doing it", and "If I'm so smart, why am I not worth billions?".
But really 2 billion market cap! Kind of makes you think what the fcuk am I doing with my life (and infinite talent).
