greeting from tokyo!
just when i thought i am out of luck, i found there is LAN support inside my room.
this is the first time i visit japan. i get here in tokyo at 1 pm local time. it took another 3 hours to arrive at the hotel. the hotel locates in downtown tokyo, a place called shibuya. the room is cozy and well equiped. after settling down, i took a walk with colleagues. this part of the city is pretty hilly. it is so crowed in downtown tokyo around 6 pm sunday evening, maybe no surprise there.

enough for today!
the first day at work, i got an earthquake. our office is on the 5th floor of a 11-floor building. the building is shaking. i don't know what to do. i had a similar one a few years back in california, that happened when i brush my teeth in bathroom. but that is an one-story building. so i think they are definitely at different alarm level.

Maybe Don isn't an adroid but the genius child of Nortius Maximus and Incontinentia Buttocks. Or might his father have been the infamous Biggus Dickus? Na, I'll stick with the nose.

this is my 3rd day in japan. so far, one of my impression is too much people. on the way to work, there are several major inter-section. many times when we were waiting for green light to cross the street, i turned around to find several hundred of people were waiting behind us too.
another impression is that most cars on the street are japanese car, but some of them are not same as we see on the US street. i guess they are modified to be smaller to fit in crowed japanese street. but i did find bmw, mercedez, audi, volvo, jeep cherokee, jeep wrangler, land rover.... they are easier to recognize, i am sure there are more. many japanese ride motorcycle.

One time, after getting ourselves a little lost wandering the streets of Tokyo, we asked a police officer standing on a corner for directions back to our hotel. His response: "Go down street that way [points] about three blocks. There will be police officer on corner. Ask other police officer."

The irony of that is that the remark is that it has been made by a Chinese
