Hi guys. I have programming experience, but not any OO experience, except for a Java 2 training course. I'm talking to employers now about hiring me in an entry-level position. They ask what salary I'm after, & I say I'll consider any offer they make. But when it gets down to it, what would be a reasonable salary for a beginner in a city that is offering $60K to Java programmers with only 6 months experience? I would appreciate any information on this subject. Kelsey

It can be better than that For instance, If you are a VB Developer with extensive specific Industry application development experience. They may hire you and pay you comparable to other Java Developers because you have the Industry experience and they have the confidence that you can learn and pick up Java fast.
