The layout of the land

ok Im kinda trying to figure this thing out!
I've got the compile part. and the run part but I don't really under stand the commands and how they work I know that the {}...
has some thing to do with the layers and order but I don't under stand the commands could someone give me a push?
variable?,identifier?,declaration?,scope?
