I have just learnt JAVA to some extent. But none of the books I have provide exercises or projects or programs to do.
Plz provide me with few programs that I shall work out to test my Java skills.

I'll say it before anyone else...start the CATTLE DRIVE here at the Ranch! You can get to it from various links throughout the site.

I'll second that! Best thing about the Cattle Drive is that you get feedback on your programming. Can't get that from any book.

I make a sort of database to store names & numbers - just a text interface where you can enter, modify & search for people & numbers.
Once you get on a bit, a game is always good - something like snake, space invaders or missile attack can be used to hone your skills.

There's an online book with some smaller exercises in it:
http://www.hot.ee/javalab/noflash800.htm
Bruce Eckel's online book also has a few exercises. I forgot the URL, so try a search for "Bruce Eckel" or "Thinking in Java".
The Cattle Drive is great, too.

divyasheel,
Nope. It's all 100% free service. Your nit-pickers are top-rate JAVA volunteers (BTW, one of them is a Sheriff).
