Help!! When I click on the Java Plug-in in my Control panel the following message appears: "javaw.exe has generated errors and will be closd by Windows. You will need to restart the program." I am using WIN2K with JDK 1.3. Could you give some clues to solve my problem? Thanks in advance. -Bob

What role does the Service Pack play in this case?

Cindy, Installing the service pack did not solve my problem. Still getting the same error. Bummer.

Cindy, I solved the problem by upgrading to JDK 1.3.1. This solved my javaw problem, but I am still working to get dbVisulaizer working. Thanks for your help!! -Bob

Hello, I finally solved the problem. Since my last post the dbvis problem has been on the back burner, but today I needed it as I am starting my next project. The problem was with the display settings on my computer. I forgot to mention in the previous posts that I had a two monitor system. This system was setup for me when I started back in April. When I looked at the display properties, I found the left hand monitor was set for 32 bit color and the right hand monitor was set for 256 colors. Once I changed the settings so both monitors are the same, DbVisualizer works. Thanks again for all of your help. -Bob
