I dont want to talk long here is my problem:
i want to make a list which should show me up Nicknames,
i want to add this Nickname with a parameter.
I tried several ways, but lst.add(getParameter("Nickname"));
and so on don't work.
The list should be an applet, no application.
Great thanks for helpin me,
Philipp!

"Absolute Beginner",
The Java Ranch has thousands of visitors every week, many with surprisingly similar names. To avoid confusion we have a naming convention, described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . We require names to have at least two words, separated by a space, and strongly recommend that you use your full real name. Please log in with a new name which meets the requirements.
Thanks.

I am not quite sure what you are intending to do with that getParameters stuff, but this is how you put a list on an Applet

Just a thought - Do you mean you want the user to input the parameter?

I wanted to take this source to add a parameter.
Source:
import java.awt.*;
import java.applet.Applet;
class MyApplet extends Applet{
String parameter1;
public void init(){
parameter1 = getParameter("nickname");
List myList = new List(3,false);
myList.add(parameter1);
add(myList); }}
can u tell me whats wrong with it?
Thanks a lot for your great help.
