This week's book giveaway is in the General Computing forum. We're giving away four copies of Arduino in Action and have Martin Evans, Joshua Noble, and Jordan Hochenbaum on-line! See this thread for details.
If you all already know about this and have covered it, my aplogies. Otherwise, this is a really cool java robot building site and download that helps you learn about classes. http://robocode.alphaworks.ibm.com/home/home.html James
I'll second that - Robocde is an *excellent* tool for learning to program to an API. I'm currently using it as a form of correspondence training with a couple of friends. The "motivation" is built-in -- kill the know-it-all Java author -- which of course can be extended to any friendly rivalry. But mostly it's fun! You see the results of your work (initially, a too-sudden death), and if you've got any measure of pride, you're hooked. Great recommendation, James. ------------------ Michael Ernest, co-author of: The Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide
