Can anyone help with the this error :
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/symantec/itools/javax/swing/JButtonGroupPanel
I have import com.symantec.itools.javax.swing.JButtonGroupPanel;
in my program. Does the ClassPath need to be directed to that directory?
Is there any problems/caveats with using components like JButtonGroupPanel and JWrappingLabel?

Not sure about gui specific question, but any classes that your code refrences must be on the classpath (unless you are using a custom classloader)

I guess what I don't understand is that there is no JButtonGroupPanel class. I checked the zipped files and can't find it. There is a JButtonGroupPanel.java located in java\src\symantec\itools\javax\swing.
???

I take it that you are useing Visual Cafe by Symantec as an IDE?
You probably have not configured the classpath correctly to find the classes that Symantec has included with the application. The class file is probably hidden in a jar file (like a zipped file) that they supplied.
Of course I have not a clue how to configure a classpath within the tool (we have an IDE forum if you want to ask there), but to do it outside the tool read this:
How to set your classpath.
By the way,
Please change your name to be compliant with JavaRanch's naming policy.
Your ID should be 2 separate names with more than 1 letter each (get rid of the underscore). We really want this to be a professional forum and would prefer that you use your REAL name.
Thanks,
Cindy

You KNOW that you look in all the .jar files? Not the zip files, the jar files.
