Hi,
I have two strings, one with a period and one without a period in it. How do I check the strings for the period? I should know this, but I can't think straight. TIA.

Check out the indexOf() method in the API, should do what you want

you can download the j2sdk-1_3_1-doc from java.sun.com,there are
particular comments about variables and motheds of java classes.
