I figure I must be making a fairly simple mistake here but for some reason I can't compile my code when it contains any reference to a "WindowAdaptor". I am importing the java.awt.* package and the java.awt.event.* package as can be seen from the code below.

When I compile I get the following error:

Can anyone help me out with why this could be happening? Thank you all for you time.

You need to extend the WindowAdapter class because it is abstract. But since you are already extending the Frame class then implement WindowListener. Or extend the WindowAdapter and then make an instance of the Frame class. Hopes this helps you out.
