hi am new to java ,i started today the awt and swing ...that's not the prob ...the prob is that despite my vvv littile knowledge of java am asked to present a project working paper on how can we use java with linux op.sys. and using this on any pc(op.sys. windows)to take the images and transfere them to 3D images. note : i do not know liux, what's 3D.....(of course all this programming will be made by java) i know it sounds vv bad but my instructor will kill me as this project shows if i can use java in every thing or not ?? i realy do not know what i need and how to do it pls help
Are you talking about taking a bitmap type 2-dimensional image and translating it into something that can be displayed using the classes in the 3d API?? I am not sure what you are actually trying to accomplish. You is a tutorial on the Java 3D API. If you do the code all in Java, it should not matter what operating system you put it on - it will work. So Unix or Windows is not really an issue here.
