Why it put NULL valuse in my field?

Hi Friends,
Do you have any idea why if I enter "00/00/0000"
to the fldFixedDate after run following code it will put NULL on my table istead of 00-00-0000?
Any advice to solve it?

Because there is no such date as 0-00-0000. That's a meaningless date.
