I use Linux(Red Hat 7.1). How can I setup path for JDK?

I'm not a linux user. I think it's something like:
PATH=/usr/local/jdkFolder/bin:$PATH
Otherwise, have you tried a search on this forum and/or the Linux / UNIX forum?
