Mary_jane, Welcome to JavaRanch! We ain't got many rules 'round these parts, but we do got one. Please change your display name to comply with The JavaRanch Naming Policy. Also, please note that you can preserve the formatting of example code by surrounding it with the
and
UBB Tags. Thanks Pardner! Hope to see you 'round the Ranch!
What are your doubts? What do you think it does? What does it do when you try it?
The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you do is who you become. Your integrity is your destiny - it is the light that guides your way. - Heraclitus
What's that class List, it is not java.util.List because that is abstract and cannot be instantated (there's new List in there). What happens when you compile the code? What happens when you run the code? With a debugger? Try using BlueJ available here it will help you gain an insight. Tell us what happens. -Barry [ August 11, 2002: Message edited by: Barry Gaunt ]
