I am very new to Java so apologies if this question seems dumb!!
I have an applet which has the following:
A JtextArea, a format button and a textfield.
When the applet runs the user copies some text into the TextArea and then clicks the format button and the text is displayed in the textfield.
When I try and do this, nothing happens.. If I declare the JTextArea with a string.. the string is displayed in the textfield when the format button is clicked...
What am I doing wrong...

You really need to post your code along with that description for anybody to be able to help you.
I agree. Here's the link:
subject: JTextArea
It's not a secret anymore!
