this code can be compiled in any folders except
e:\java\
why??? the error is:

I'm not able to recreate your problem. The code compiles fine for me in e:\java and I'm not noticing any mistakes that you're making.

Does the E:\java folder contain any other .class files? Like maybe an Object.class? Why, I have no idea - but it would explain the error messages you see. They complain about an Object class rather than java.lang.Object, which means you've managed to redefine the fundamental base class of all reference types. This is probably a bad thing.
