Does anybody know if there is a limit to the number of dimensions([][][]...) an array can have? I looked in the JLS in chapters 10 and 15 but couldnt find a definitive answer.

I can think of no reason there would be in the language. It's possible that there is some limitation in the class file format or JVM. But as far a s the language goes there isn't any limit to the number of dimensions.
