Is there some place that you can access the Java class hierarchy. In other words, if you want to use a certain method, how do you find out which package you need to import/include.
I'm looking to use the getByName method from the InetAddress class so I want to know what I need to need to import to get access to this method.

Check out the full Java 1.4.1 api. This should give you documentation on all "standard" Java classes, including the InetAddress class.
