About interactive CD's

as a beginner I have very general question - is it possible to create interactive presentation CD using JavaScript. I mean the project with unique design (not using predefined layouts).
If it is not, maybe you can help me to choose other way to do this (say, to use program specially designed for creating such CD's).
Thank you!
P.S. I have experience working with CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop. At this time I am learning HTML and JavaScript.

Java and JavaScript have little in common besides a few syllables in the name. This is a beginning Java programmer's forum; you'd have better luck with JavaScript questionsover here.
