This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
If class B extends class A it is everything A is but has some other distinguishing features or abilities. As though you had a class MotorVehicle and class extending it such as Truck and Tractor. If class B contains an A well, it has an A of it's very own. Like you have a class MotorVehicle that has as member data objects SteeringWheel mySteeringWheel and Engine myEngine.
