Thanksgiving!

I'm getting ready to enjoy that particularly American institution known as Thanksgiving. It's our national excuse for a four-day weekend, and it's also a good time to reflect on that which we have.
I've got a lot to be thankful for. I'm fairly comfortable that on the Lotto of life, I got all the numbers AND the power ball. And since we all know that extended time on MD tends to make me cranky, I'm going to bid you all goodbye until next week.

That's a common pastime in MD the rest of the year too - we just can't all agree on who the turkey is.
Happy T-Day, Joe!

I have a problem with that. Turkey is a sovereign country, you can't go in. But if you have even a slight suspision that that may have something to do with the JFK assasination, it would certainly be a moral thing to fry the bastards.

Actually, recent evidence suggests the JFK and RFK assassinations may be linked to the individual known publicly as "HS Thomas", currently believed to be harbored in the UK. So maybe they are next.

Bill Hicks once said about the Dallas book repository, which is now open to visitors, has been made in every way to be historically accurate to the day of the assassination. "For starters, Lee Harvey Oswald ain't there."

Very sporting of Bush and the first US president to visit Iraq. The action obviously wasn't wasted on the troops.

The US will need to elect Bush now for a second term to finish rebuilding Iraq. More happy faces all round please.

You cynic. Thanksgiving for having survived the first year. What we forget is that it happened only with the help of some kind indians.....
It's a marvelously-timed holiday. I could really use 2 days right now, but unfortunately I live in the UK where there are no bank holidays in the autumn.

Oh, forgot to say, Belated Happy Thankgiving to the US Folks out there!
Hope you had a good day. I caught the scores for the Packers vs Lions game. Geez, what was Favre up to? I thought they would have aced that game. Just goes to show how inconsistent the Packers have been playing this season, I was hoping that they would win their division, but I dont think they'll do it now, unless the Vikings really screw up and hand it to them on a plate.

Mark, not Pradeep. Then he really will haunt me.
Just joking, Pradeep.
Pet elephants, hey.So why not an elephant that gets, say the size a Great Dane? Combine breeding with genetic engineering, and voila!
(maybe someone could start a new business with this...)
It's actually someone-on-the web else's idea.

People like to take a couple of weeks off around Christmas. Some go abroad but managers seem to frown on taking two weeks off around then these days.
You never find them around though.

There are no provinces in India
My village has no electricity and no roads . How are you going to come there?

Very well. You leave me no choice.
I was going to set my Death-Ray-Cannon to obliterate your village, but I'll just set it to cover the entire Indian sub-continent.

Americans have created a virus that is lethal to mice. So now we know for certain : America has discovered weapons of mouse destruction.

Aah, now there's the real cause behind last US/Canada blackout. I hope Echelon is clever enough to pick this up (as I am too lazy to report to the right people, too much of bad music and waiting when I try emergency services here! )

Ah, Thanksgiving was a success, except my mother-in-law couldn't make it being in hospital. But she was visited, and much was consumed in her honor. To all who wonder - a properly deep-fried turkey is a joy to behold (and to eat !). One word of warning - do NOT rub it down with spices, as the spices burn, leaving the skin dark (but still very tasty).
The football games were fun, and the halftime of the Miami/Dallas game was most enjoyable. In order to avoid turning this into another argument, I'll simply say the musical entertainment was wonderfully patriotic, and highly enjoyed by my entire family.
