I was wondering what had happened to the supposed Xmas release of next SW installment and came across this thread. Makes me wish I was 13 again (well, maybe not!) ...

Its clear that all of the jedi die expect obi-wan and yoda because in episodes 4,5,and 6 all of the jedi are dead. Also I hope Jar Jar dies because well he makes me sick.

Ummm, the film is expected for summer 2005 I think. Has been for a long time. Back before episide I was released, there was some talk about the possibility that Lucas might film all three back-to-back, like Peter Jackson subsequently did for Lord of the Rings - and thus have three movies released one year apart. But apparently Lucas decided that wasn't feasible, as he needed the extra time to screw up the new movies. And so we get three movies separated by three years apiece, same as the initial trilogy. On the plus side though, the effects people do manage to come up with some pretty cool stuff during that time.

Well, the majority of the Jedi apparently. With a few obvious exceptions. It's possible we won't actually see the others die. Perhaps they'll just suffer a nasty defeat and flee, leaving us to assume that some may still be out there, in hiding. Face it, episode III has some pretty dark ground it has to cover; it wouldn't suprise me if Lucas tries to lighten things some where he can, so as not to end on a total downer. Though for me, seeing that punk Anakin replaced with the voice of James Earl Jones will probably be a high point; he's always annoyed me. I only tolerated him in Episode I because I knew that for all his annoying cuteness, he was eventually going to end up in a very different place.
Deaths: well, Mace and Dooku I imagine. And a bunch of others whose names I don't know. We can only hope Jar Jar will be painfully gutted onscreen. It would seem that Anakin, Obi Wan, Padme, and the droids all need to survive. Though in very different circumstances...
R2D2 and C3PO will probably have their memories wiped - perhaps even by the good guys, to enforce secrecy about the wherabouts of the Skywalker children. Otherwise, why was C3PO so totally clueless about anything in the original trilogy? Other than his own inherent nature of course. Face it, would you trust C3PO with a secret like that if you could help it? R2, sure. In fact quite possibly R2 did have intact memories in Episode IV, and was just being cagey.

Darn, I had it my head that there was only two years between each film and that the last one was out in 2001 (seems like it was ages ago)! Oh, well...
Yeah, I think the Vader transition will definitely be the most fascinating part. Maybe we'll get a scene where he's trying out different frequencies on his voice modulator, (like in Pretty Woman when she trying on lots of dresses) with a thumbs up from one of his troopers when he hits the Earl one. It'll be a dark film overall, but I'm informed that Mr. Lucas is going to populate some of the darker scenes with lots of little Munchkins dressed in sparlkly leotards

What are you people talking about? I saw something that claimed to be Star Wars I but it was so stupid that it was obviously a copyright infringement. Lucas would never had made something so incredibly stupid, boring, and plotless.
On a serious note, who cares?
