Hi All,

I am new to Java programming, and is picking the concept (pretty slowly). Can anybody enumerate the various type of methods, and various type of variable, with implementation examples.

Thanks in advance.

First of all U have to select and concentrate to a good book

Anyways ....

Java has three kinds of variables namely,
1,The instance variable
2,The local Variable
3,The class variable

Local Variable

The variables put inside a function such as counters, temp variables, which is used to store the information needed by a single method

Instance variable

Tha variable used to define attributes or state of a particular object. it is used to store the information needed by multiple methods in objects

Class variable

The class variables are global to a class and used for communicating between two objects

Types of methods ???

We can say

Static methods
Native methods
abstract methods

Read Complete Java 2 Rererence it is quite nice for beginners
