Pardon if this seems silly but I don't have the big picture.
I have a project I created using Eclipse. In my
file I import the Xerces parser to do some xml work...
when I save the file it is compiled no problem and when I run this class file from the system that has xerces installed on it it works fine..
The Problem: I want to run this on a different machine. I know for a fact the there is no xerces parser installed.
So my question is what steps do I take to build a java application that I can compile and copy to another machine that only has the JRE and still have it running successfully...
Is there a way of putting the xerces jar file with my class file..? must I import from a different place then..?
Of all the things I've lost in my life it's my mind I miss the most.

Sun has Java Web Start and there are plenty of installers out there, even some good free ones. Google for "java installer". ZeroG is one I remember hearing good things about.
To install manually, just make sure that your path points to a JRE and your classpath points to the jars you will need. Frinstance, here's how I start my Wiki from a bat file:
d: cd\directory set path=%path%;j2re1.4.1_03\bin set classpath=lib\sswiki.jar;lib\saxman.jar java.exe com.saxman.sswiki.SSWiki
I have sent people a zip of my Wiki directory (including a whole JRE and the lib directory) and they can unzip it, adjust the drive & directory in this bat file and run it.
A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. John Ciardi

Many thanks Stan.
Can you believe I never considered searching for installers.. I searched for everything relating to build and deploy...
Thanks for the heads up.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link:
