uninstall j2sdk problem

hi, i'm using j2sdk 1.4.2_02, now thinking of update it to 1.4.2_04 , however i facing the problem of uninstall , i can't even uninstall it from add/remove program from windows (both jdk and jre), i also try to uinstall it by the 1.4.2_02 installer, but i fail to do it so ....anyone can help me this ?

There's nothing to uninstall for the JDK, just delete the directory. As for the JRE: what error message are you seeing?

when i use remove/add program from control panel , it show me "installer terminated prematurely"

This is an OS problem, not a Java problem. Check your event log - there might be something obvious in there. Make sure the JRE isn't running while you are trying to uninstal it - there's been a long standing bug that means processes can get "lost" so check the task manager for java* processes. Try uninstalling it in Safe mode. If none of that works, your only option is delete the files manually, then delete the registry entires manually. But I wouldn't recommend that unless you are quite confident you know what to delete.

i try uninstall in safe mode , it doesn't help as well , is that means i need to fix it though registry ? anyone got idea on this ...thanks , paul
