How does the Demystified book tie together Gui and JDBC?
Does it cover topics like JTables? Thanks.

Even though it does discuss about the Graphical User Interface, it will not dig into details... The book might discuss just about the fundamentals of GUI... After the author let you taste the GUI of Java, then the reader is on his/her own to learn more details.. But I hope that the book discusses some introduction about JTable...

Its basically a java book so you cant expect much about JDBC in this book.

Please check java site for that.

I guess some basic technique to connect to a database and create statements to query... If we got the idea how to connect to a database using JDBC, then we can go on with more advance techniques with core JDBC books in the market...

You raise a good question. Someone told me that those topics are not for rookies - I disagree, obviously. In the real world , GUI and database interaction is basic stuff and it is for that reason I included in the book. Hey, I'm sure every rookie wants to at least build a decent GUI screen to show off to their friends. And with database connectivity they can begin to make a worthwhile application.
