show() in FileDialog is deprecated?

Hi everyone,
This may not be a problem but a confusion. I'm calling a file dialog in an applet with show() and it works okay, but the compiler says that show() is deprecated. This is strange because it's not noted deprecated in the JAVA API.
Has someone ever met with the same matter?

show
@Deprecated
public void show()Deprecated. As of JDK version 1.5, replaced by Component.setVisible(boolean).

Seems pretty clear to me.
