A Haiku for you all!
A break from work
Put on my well worn cowboy boots
Off to the ranch.

James W. Hackett won the inaugural Japan Airlines (JAL) haiku contest (1964) by setting his poem in a 5-7-5 syllable form and also using a colon on the first line for punctuation.

Are you bored right now?
Try a haiku for fun ... err,
what season is it?
Quickly rushing out,
excited by the new snow.
Your arse, bruised and wet!

Pair of shoes:
Side by side
in step 'til dying shoe

I think this is 3-5-3 haiku.

It seems that an implicit Haiku rule is that you don't pronounce punctuation. I though I'd exploit that

And before you ask. yes, I have compiled it
