How to record how many times something occurs in an array?

Hello,

I have a few class exercises to do for practice to help me learn arrays.. Have no idea how to start and complete this one.. Some help would be appreciated, thanks!

OBJECTIVE:

Given�
an int�variable� k ,
an int�array� incompletes that has been declared� and initialized�,
an int�variable� studentID that has been initialized�, and
an int�variable� numberOfIncompletes , write code that counts the number of times the value� of studentID appears in incompletes and assigns� this value� to numberOfIncompletes.
NOTE: You may use only k , incompletes , studentID , and numberOfIncompletes .

Initialize numberOfIncompletes to 0, loop over the array and compare each element to studentId; for each match, increment numberOfIncompletes. Use "k" as the for-loop index.
